An event in memory and honor of Baruch Tegegne (z”’l) – one of the great heroes of the long and grueling Ethiopian Jewish aliyah – was held at Beit Hatfutsot Museum in Tel Aviv on June 11, 2017 from 5 to 8 pm.
In addition, an exhibit about Ethiopian Jews and Operation Moses entitled 30 Years Since Operation Moses is also showing now thru January.
It was an emotional event for Baruch, with an amazing line-up of speakers from the Ethiopian Israeli community and beyond. Yuvi Teshome wrapped it up (below).
Baruch’s daughter Yafit spoke movingly about her father.
