These innovative groups are working to enhance economic opportunities.

Beta Israel Business Community (BIBC)

BIBC is a business community comprised of 300 Ethiopian Israeli entrepreneurs who collaborate to promote and strengthen the businesses of its members.

BIBC is dedicated to advancing a prosperous Ethiopian Israeli community through mutual support and mentorship. 

Founded in 2018, BIBC is an initiative of well-known award-winning Ethiopian-Israeli tech educator, Asher Elias. Elias also founded Tech-Career, a professional technology training nonprofit and FEJ partner, in 2002. 

 

BIBC provides its' members with a number of services, including: 

  • Formal training and guidance to nurture e-commerce ventures.

  • A sustainable business community for program graduate entrepreneurs to share knowledge and business development skills, utilizing platforms such as webinars, workshops, and lectures to support entrepreneurial ventures in the community.

  • Engagement with other Ethiopian-Israeli business-owners from different fields, who hold the shared vision of advancing the Ethiopian-Israeli community.

Olim Beyahad
(Rising Together)

Olim Beyahad assists Ethiopian-Israelis in finding employment in compatible jobs at the forefront of Israel’s workforce, across professional areas.

Aiming to integrate members of the Ethiopian-Israeli community in the areas of employment, residence, education, and social life, Olim Beyahad has supported over 1,200 Ethiopian-Israelis.

Olim Beyahad's flagship program identifies excelling Ethiopian-Israeli university students and graduates with leadership potential, supports them as they integrate into the Israeli workforce, and provides them with a professional toolkit to advance in their chosen career. Crucially, the program pairs each participant with a mentor in their field, who holds a senior position within the industry and can support the participant as they navigate the challenges of the workplace. 

Through creating a community of partnerships and connections amongst volunteers, corporations, and social organizations, Olim Beyahad aims to convene a network of Ethiopian-Israelis and non-Ethiopian-Israelis united in a social movement with a single purpose: to build an Israel that incorporates Ethiopian-Israelis into its economic and social leadership.
