Demonstrations in Israel are still ongoing – 40 days after the killing of Solomon Tekah by police. Ethiopian Israelis are continuing to publicly protest police violence and racism, with members of the community holding vigils, staging peaceful protests and taking media action daily.

The Ministry of Justice has yet to open an independent investigation or make public details of the internal inquiry. The police officer responsible for the shooting has been released on bail after being on house arrest.
